Turkey Trot 2019 Race Map
Are you looking for more than your standard 5K run? If so, the Wild Gobbler might be just what you are looking for.
Run 3 miles, with 5 different additional workouts along the route. Each workout station along the route will honor the sacrifice of a different military or first responder.
Firefighter Nathaniel Crump, age 30, a firefighter with the Little Rock Fire died of colon cancer while on active duty on June 21, 2017. State House Bill 1773 known as “Crump’s Law” was passed in 2019 ensuring firefighters receive an additional six months of paid sick leave.
At this station you will perform 30 Burpees to commemorate his thirty years of life.
Sergeant Michael Stephen, 56, Stone County Sheriff’s Dept. was killed in the line of duty on July 18, 2019. Sergeant Stephen served twenty years with the Stone County Sheriff’s Office and was an Army Veteran.
At this station, you will performed 20 Squat Jumps to commemorate his twenty years of faithful service.
SPC Michael Faulkenberry, assigned to the 1st Battalion, 325th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 82 Airborne Division was killed on March 25,2019.
At this station, you will perform 31 Flutter Kicks (each leg) commemorating his thirty one years of life.
Lt. Patrick Weatherford of the Newport Police Dept. was shot and killed in the line of duty on June 12 2017. At this station you will perform 41 Jumping Jacks to commemorate Lt Weatherford’s 41 years of life.
Engineer Michael Watkins of the Northeast Lakeside Fire Dept. died of a heart attack while responding to a fire on April 24, 2019.
At this station, you will perform 24 Mountain Climbers (each leg) to commemorate the date of his passing.
