Community Impact Grant

The grant cycle will begin January 21st, and end February 28th.

The United Way Community Impact Grant will give the flexibility to meet community needs that may arise between the annual allocation-cycle. The intent of these monies is to fund programs that seek to meet high priority needs of the community. Successful applicants will present programmatic or capacity-building needs and demonstrate how grant funding would strengthen the work of their agency within United Way's focus areas of Youth Opportunity, Healthy Community, Financial Security, and Community Resiliency.

Grant Guidelines

Community Impact Grants for the 2025-2026 fiscal year will be awarded in monthly installments from July to June. The Community Impact Grant is available to organizations that serve or operate in Faulkner, Conway, Perry, and/or Van Buren counties. 

The eligibility requirements for organizations applying must meet the following minimum requirements:

  • Recognized 501(c)3 non-profit, tax-exempt organization and/or a tax-exempt entity by the IRS;
  • Serves clients in Faulkner, Conway, Perry, and/or Van Buren counties.
  • Locally based volunteer board that meets at least quarterly and elects officers;
  • Registration with the Arkansas Secretary of State, if required;
  • Have a policy of non-discrimination (board, staff, volunteers, and clients);
  • Have at least one paid employee;
  • Compliant with all applicable anti-terrorist financing and asset control laws as outlined by the federal Patriot Act;
  • Have an overall operating budget and program budget.
  • Signed copy of IRS form 990 and audited financial statement issued by certified or licensed accountant.
     

Funding Range & Timeline

  • Grant funding range will be from $5,001-35,000
  • You can submit applications for up to 3 programs. They must be 3 separate applications
  • Total funding requests (for all 3 programs combined) must not exceed $70,000
  • The deadline for complete applications is February 28th, 2026
  • Applications will be reviewed by staff of the United Way of Central Arkansas with funding recommendations submitted to the Community Impact Committee for review. Applicants will be notified by June 1st 
  • Grants will be paid in monthly installments from July to June
